OVERDICK designed pile transport racks for the outboard support of up to 4 foundation piles. The two racks are supported by one cantilever for each rack. The total weight of the piles to be transported is in the range of 1,000 t, with a pile diameter ranging from 2.5 m to 2.8 m.
The structures are designed to withstand transport accelerations for a harsh North Sea environment sea state. Modifications and reinforcement design for the vessel structure were further carried out by OVERDICK.
